To almost all film critics Citizen Kane is the best film out there. I know that I am no where close to being as established and acclaimed as them but I still have my opinion on the film. I personally did not enjoy the movie the first time that i watched it. Some say that is expected but i don't think that the best film should ever bring up mixed emotions after watching it more than once. I know the film went very slow and watching it in 40 minute segments makes it go dreadfully slow, so it is tough to enjoy many movies that way, but I believe that the greatest film should always keep your attention even if its 5 minutes at a time. And my last negative opinion about the film is that it was in black and white. I have a hard time keeping focus on the movie and I could have really used some color to make the mood a little lighter and more enjoyable. That is something that the makers of the film couldn't help at the time because black and white was all they had at the time but it is just something that made the film less enjoyable for me in general. Now that the negatives are out of the way I thought that the film was shot beautifully with the resources that they had. The repeated use of mirrors to get a different view on some very important scenes made the cinematography stunning. When a movie is shot with some of the beautiful scenes that Citizen Kane has then you can't help but want to keep seeing more.I am still no professional film critic but i still think that i bring up some valid points about my feelings about the film Citizen Kane.
